Eric Nordstrom

(he/him)

I am a Master of Social Work student at the University of Utah, working under the supervision of a licensed therapist. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Utah in 2023, and my work is grounded in values of empathy, cultural humility, and client-centered care.

In therapy, I believe in guiding clients toward a deeper understanding of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, rather than approaching challenges only at the surface level. My goal is to help clients access the strengths they already possess and develop the tools and insights needed for meaningful, long-lasting change. I view therapy as a collaborative journey—we learn together what works best for your unique needs. My approach is flexible and supportive, integrating modalities such as DBT, CBT, and mindfulness while meeting you exactly where you are.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time outdoors and playing music on the guitar and piano. I especially love the challenge of figuring out songs by ear. Born and raised in Salt Lake City, I feel deeply connected to the mountains and community here, and I bring that sense of groundedness and curiosity into my work with clients.
