Build Confidence

Healing does not always have to happen alone.

Group Therapy offers a supportive and guided space where individuals can come together to share experiences, gain insight, build coping skills, and feel connected through the healing process. Many people discover comfort and strength in realizing they are not alone in what they are navigating.

At EleMental Healing, Group Therapy is designed to create a compassionate, respectful, and emotionally safe environment where individuals can grow both personally and collectively.

What is Group Therapy?

At EleMental Healing, we believe healing is strengthened through connection, support, and shared humanity. Group Therapy creates space for individuals to feel seen, heard, encouraged, and empowered while building tools for emotional wellness, resilience, and growth alongside others on their healing journeys.

Group Therapy is a form of counseling where individuals meet together in a guided group setting led by a therapist or facilitator. One of the most healing aspects of Group Therapy is realizing that others may relate to emotions, struggles, or experiences you once felt alone in carrying.

Group connection can help reduce shame, isolation, and self-judgment while increasing compassion, understanding, and hope. Being present and sharing within a group allows individuals to practice communication, emotional expression, boundary setting, and helps build connection in a supportive and safe environment.

What Can I Expect From Group Therapy with EleMental Healing?

  • Yes. Group members are asked to respect the privacy and confidentiality of others within the group setting. While confidentiality cannot be guaranteed in the same way as individual therapy, creating a respectful and emotionally safe environment is strongly emphasized.

  • No. Participation is always encouraged at your comfort level. Some individuals feel ready to share openly, while others may benefit simply from listening, observing, and gradually building trust within the group.

  • Absolutely. Many individuals find that combining individual and group therapy offers additional support, insight, accountability, and opportunities for growth. Group Therapy can be highly effective and is often used alongside individual therapy or as a supportive stand-alone option depending on individual needs and goals.

  • Feeling nervous is completely normal, especially when entering a new environment. Many people feel uncertain at first but gradually become more comfortable as trust, connection, and emotional safety develop within the group.

  • Group size may vary depending on the type of group and focus area, but groups are generally kept small enough to allow meaningful participation, support, and connection.

  • Yes. One of the most powerful parts of Group Therapy is discovering that others may relate to emotions, struggles, or experiences similar to your own. This can help reduce feelings of isolation while building connection, understanding, and support.

How Do I Know if Group Therapy is Working?

Progress can look different for every person. For some the changes are noticeable quickly, while for others growth happens gradually through small moments of connection, reflection, and increased comfort over time.

Somtimes healing occurs in unexpected ways during Group Therapy. Hearing someone else share an experience similar to your own can create moments of clarity, validation, emotional release, or comfort.

Offering support to others can also strengthen confidence, empathy, and personal growth within yourself.

Signs and Benefits of Group Therapy helping include:

  • Feeling more comfortable opening up and expressing emotions

  • Feeling less alone in your experiences

  • Increased confidence in social or relational situations

  • Learning healthier coping tools and emotional regulation

  • Feeling emotionally supported and understood

  • Learning from others’ experiences and perspectives

  • Reduced shame, isolation, or self-judgment

  • Greater self-awareness and emotional insight

  • Improved communication and relationship skills

  • Feeling more hopeful, grounded, or resilient

  • Being able to relate to others with greater compassion and understanding

  • Encouragement, accountability, and shared growth

  • A sense of belonging and community

For some individuals, progress may also look like simply showing up consistently, listening openly, and slowly allowing themselves to feel safe in connecting with others.

Remember that healing isn’t linear and there may still be difficult days, emotional moments, or times when vulnerability feels uncomfortable. This is a normal part of growth and healing. Over time, many individuals begin noticing increased emotional resilience, stronger coping skills, healthier relationships, and a greater sense of connection both within themselves and with the world and others around them.

Even small steps toward openness, connection, and self-awareness can become meaningful foundations for long-term emotional wellness and healing.
