Concentrated Healing

When weekly therapy sessions may not feel like enough…

Intensive Therapy is a more focused and immersive therapeutic experience that allows individuals to spend extended time working through emotions, patterns, trauma, stress, or life challenges in a deeper and more focused way.

Intensives are designed to provide a deeply supportive space for healing, emotional processing, nervous system support, and personal growth without the interruptions that can sometimes occur in traditional weekly sessions.

Slow down, focus inward, allow for deeper exploration, reflection, processing, and integration to work more intentionally on your healing.

Intensive Therapy May Help With:

  • Trauma and EMDR-focused healing work

  • Anxiety and chronic stress

  • Religious/Faith Transitions

  • Emotional overwhelm or burnout

  • Neurodiversity

  • Attachment issues

  • Grief and loss

  • Major life transitions

  • Relationship or family challenges

  • Deep emotional processing

  • Somatic processing

  • Self-esteem and identity work

  • Nervous system regulation

  • Breaking unhealthy patterns

  • Personal growth and emotional clarity

What is Intensive Therapy?

Intensive Therapy offers a more focused and immersive therapeutic experience designed to help individuals make deeper progress, process difficult experiences more thoroughly, and receive concentrated emotional support within a shorter period of time.

At EleMental Healing, Intensive Therapy is approached with compassion, mindfulness, emotional safety, and individualized care. Healing is never forced or rushed. The goal is to provide a supportive environment where clients can move through deeper work at a pace that feels grounded, manageable, and empowering.

Every intensive experience is tailored to the individual’s needs, goals, emotional readiness, and healing journey. Sessions may incorporate a variety of therapeutic approaches, grounding tools, mindfulness practices, emotional regulation techniques, and trauma-informed support depending on what feels most beneficial for the client.

What Can I Expect From Intensive Therapy with EleMental Healing?

  • Traditional therapy often takes place once a week for shorter sessions, while Intensives may involve longer sessions, half-day sessions, or multiple sessions scheduled more closely together to allow for deeper healing and emotional processing.

  • Intensive Therapy involves deeper emotional work, but sessions are guided carefully with emotional safety, grounding, pacing, and nervous system support in mind. The process is never about pushing beyond what feels manageable or safe.

  • That is completely normal. Healing work can feel vulnerable, especially when exploring difficult experiences or emotions. Intensive Therapy is designed to create a compassionate, non-judgmental, and supportive environment where clients feel safe, respected, and supported throughout the process.

  • Yes. Intensive Therapy is often a supportive format for EMDR and trauma-focused work because it allows more uninterrupted time for processing, grounding, and integration when appropriate for the client’s needs.

  • Some individuals continue with regular therapy sessions after an intensive for ongoing support and integration, while others may use intensives as periodic focused support during certain seasons of life. Recommendations depend on individual needs and goals.

  • Unfortunately, insurance will not cover multiple hours of therapy on the same day, so intensive work must be paid out-of-pocket at your therapist's full-fee hourly rate.  You can potentially use HSA/FSA funds, but we recommend calling your provider to get pre-approved to use those funds.

Due to the need to schedule large blocks of time, we require at least one month's notice to schedule an Intensive with your therapist and payment in full to reserve that time. If you need to cancel or change your Intensive, we require 2 weeks' notice for a full refund or credit to your account.

How Do I Know if Intensive Therapy is Working?

Healing and growth can look different for everyone, and progress is not always linear. Every person’s journey is unique.

Signs of progress may include:

  • Increased emotional clarity

  • Feeling less emotionally “stuck”

  • Reduced anxiety or emotional overwhelm

  • Greater self-awareness

  • Improved coping skills

  • Feeling calmer and more grounded

  • Breakthroughs in understanding patterns or experiences

  • Increased emotional resilience and confidence

Healing often continues unfolding even after the intensive experience as the brain and nervous system continue processing and integrating the work.
